Hello, I'm Harman
I'm the choreographer behind Harman Dance Co., formerly Dances With Harman. Based in the GTA, I create Punjabi and Bollywood wedding performances for couples and families, including local preparation for celebrations held worldwide.
I've been teaching dance for over 10 years. Wedding choreography found me about 3 years ago, and I haven't looked back since.
There's a specific moment I live for: when a group steps onto that floor after weeks of rehearsal, the music drops, and the whole room loses it. That's what I'm building toward in every single session.
I keep things fun. No judgment when you miss a step. No rigid routines you have to nail perfectly. We build something that fits your body, your timing, and how confident you feel. By the time your wedding comes, you won't want to stop.

How far in advance should I book?
3 months ahead is the sweet spot. It gives us time to pick the right song, build the choreography properly, and practice without anyone feeling rushed. That said, if your wedding is coming up fast, reach out anyway. I'll let you know what's possible.
Do I need prior dance experience?
Not at all. I've worked with people who've never danced a day in their life and people who've been dancing for years. Everything is built around your comfort level. The goal is to make you feel confident out there, not stressed.
How many sessions will we need?
For a first dance, most couples need 4 to 6 sessions. For a sangeet or group performance, usually 6 to 10 depending on the song length, how many people are involved, and how quickly everyone picks it up. We go at your pace.
Can we use our own song?
Yes, and I love it when people come in with a song that actually means something to them. I work primarily with Bollywood and Punjabi music, and I can edit the track to the right length, or mix multiple songs if that's what you're going for.
Can you choreograph for a big group?
Yes. I've worked with groups from 4 people up to 20+. The one thing I ask is that the person booking takes responsibility for getting everyone to practice on time. Bigger groups have more moving parts, so having one point of contact helps a lot.
What happens during the free consultation?
We talk about your event, your song ideas, your skill level, and what you're going for. I give you a sense of what a realistic timeline looks like and what package would work best. There's no pressure to commit on the call. It's just a chance to see if we're a good fit.
Do you travel for destination weddings?
I don't travel to destination weddings. Harman Dance Co. is based in the GTA and can help you rehearse locally for a wedding held anywhere in the world before you leave. Tell me where your group is based and where the wedding will take place during your consultation so we can confirm what preparation is possible.
Where do practice sessions happen?
Wherever works for you in the GTA. A living room, a backyard, a community hall. As long as there's enough room to move, we can make it work. If you don't have a good space, I can point you toward studio options nearby.
How much does it cost?
It depends on the performance length, how many people are involved, and the timeline. I put together a custom quote for each booking. We'll go over it during the free consultation so you know exactly what to expect before committing to anything.
What if we need to reschedule?
Life happens, especially around weddings. I have a flexible rescheduling policy and all the details are laid out clearly in the agreement upfront. I always try to find something that works for both of us.
